I am sure during your Christmas holidays you've seen the film "The Christmas Story." You know, "You'll shoot your eye out! You'll shoot your eye out!" There is a part in the movie where the dogs grab the Christmas Turkey and ruin Christmas dinner, so the family has to go out for dinner and the only place that is open is a Chinese food joint. The waiters are all singing Christmas Carols with really bad Chinese accents. Deck the Harrs with Borrs of Rorry! Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra, Ra Ra Ra Ra!
Tonight I can personally say that I have lived out that moment. We went to Applebee's to eat tonight. This was for my hard days work with the Ministry of Tourism and a bargain to keep B from buying a RPG launcher and putting several new, large doors in the police station. (That was a joke. We love your country, Mr. Government Official. We would never do anything to harm anyone. Please don't put us in jail.)
In the States when someone has a birthday at a restuarant like Applebee's the waiters get together, clap and sing some birthday song. No exceptions here, except the accents are different. I can't remember all of it, but I will try to reproduce what I can.
