Arab culture doesn't allow time alone. It's not part of the culture. They've always been around other people. Being alone means there is something wrong.
Today B went to a conference for three days. I decided to stay home and relax. After B left this morning, I decided that I would do absolutely nothing all day and not talk with anyone. As soon as I said that, the phone rang. I ignored it, then the mobile, then the doorbell, then the phone again, then the door. I finally had to pull the phone out of the wall and turn the mobile on silent.
I've had more calls today then any other day this week. I haven't answered any of them, so if you've been trying to get ahold of me. Tough! You can wait till tomorrow.
