I am fixing to hit the streets next week and start looking for a new apartment for B and I to rent. We've been making a list of things we would like for it to have.
1. Central Heating
2. 3 bedrooms
3. a porch or balcony (if not on the first floor)
4. no East/West sun exposure
5. control over our own hot water (i know that sounds weird, but believe me, it's important)
If you could have anything in a house/apartment what would you want?

one million dollars!
I'm a big fan of an aparmtnet where you can grill on your porch or patio. That is one of the biggest complaints I have abour our apartment complex. NO GRILLS STINKS!!!
Hope ya'll have a good day. Email me or drop a post on our blog, I would love to talk sometime
JR has a great point...i do miss cooking out. Steaks cooked in a skillet just doesn't make sense. And no, i have not tried it...i'd rather not have it if i can't have it grilled.
I think we'd like a bigger kitchen for that matter.
If you must cook steak indoors, here's how gourmet chef's go about it: Add a little liquid smoke to the marinade, sear it in a really hot all metal skillet on both sides and then stick it in the oven on the middle rack and put wood chips on the bottom rack. Cook until done to your preferred tastes.
As for a house, two bathrooms would be a plus, and for my wife, insect free.
I would want an apartment where I would have the freedom to paint whatever color I wanted! Also, it would be nice to have good carpet. Our really-old-but-the-stingy-landlord-won't-pay-to-replace carpet is not so nice.
*L&A* Okay, Mr. gourmet chef, but what do you do if you only have one rack in the oven and the only woodchips you have are of the olive tree variety.
Olive tainted steaks don't sound good to me, and what is "liquid smoke?" I don't think the Arabs have caught on to that yet.
Your comments are great though. We'll just have a rent a house with a patio and buy a grill.
I'll send you some...
